I’ve had a great interest in photography from an early age and got my first “real” film SLR camera when I was 15. I drifted away from photography a bit during my 20’s and 30’s, but got back into it about 2 1/2 years ago and love it, love it, love it. My biggest passion is motorsports photography and in particular motorbike racing. My current kit is an EOS 600d and 1D mk2 with a zoom, telephoto and wide-angle lens. I’m delighted to have completed this course with a Distinction and found that my photography has improved a great deal, particularly in areas such as landscape and portraits.
I recently had a couple of photos published in a motorbike racing magazine, so I’m delighted with that and can’t wait to see where I can take my photography next. Thanks to IOP for good constructive feedback from all of the assignments and I would encourage all of the students to keep snapping and learn from your mistakes, you’ll be surprised how far you can push yourself.
