Guy Keen is currently a full-time landscape photographer based in Southport, NW England. He started his photography in the days of film, shooting 35mm and medium format cameras and developing prints in the darkroom.
Guy studied photography at Southport College of Art, successfully gaining his diploma but ended up joining the Fire Service in 1991. Guy went on to have a successful career as a Fire Officer, but never lost his passion for photography, continually pursuing improvement in his imagery. Hence starting with IoP.
In 2012 Guy set up a small part-time business covering portraits and events which he ran alongside his full-time fire officer role. During this time his landscape photography remained purely a personal pursuit.
Guy retired from the Fire Service in 2021 after 30 years of distinguished service and immediately moved to fulfil a long-held ambition to launch his full-time landscape photography business ‘108 Landscape’.
Guy’s aspiration for 108 Landscape is to use it as a vehicle for his ongoing pursuit of photographic excellence, to throw himself wholeheartedly into his creative development and at the same time, hopefully, sustain a viable business.
