Having been involved in photography for more years than I care to think about, you assume that you must have an extensive knowledge of all the facets involved in creating images. For the last 30 or so years, a very high percentage of my photography has involved some sport.
When the pandemic hit the UK, all sports were paused, so I had time to discover just how little I knew about other genres of image capture. At this time, I decided to retire from sports photography and concentrate on my new passion Landscape. My wife says it is not a passion but an obsession.
I looked at various ways to further my new interest and, by chance, stumbled on IOP. What a lucky accident that was…With their help, I feel my photography has gone from strength to strength. So, a big thank you to Tim and the crew, who have helped enormously in showing me the way forward. They have also shown me other genres that now via for position alongside Landscape.
It shows that life doesn’t finish when you pass the 70-year mark. With my newfound love for Photography, the future looks bright.
