On 23 February 2015, IOP launched the most comprehensive online wedding photography course available in the UK.
This course is designed for:
1. Photography enthusiasts who want to become wedding photographers
2. Current wedding photographers who want to develop their skills and gain a certificate
3. Those who have been asked to shoot a wedding for a family or friend but lack experience
There are two parts to the course.
Part 1 : Sales and marketing
We believe that being a great photographer is just one part of being a successful wedding photographer. Developing skills such as online marketing, website creation, social media voice and market research can mean the difference between success and failure. We look at all these areas and more in the Diploma in Wedding Photography. We also offer you the opportunity to discuss the marketing issues that are relevant to your and your business via a 30 minute private chat with an IOP marketing expert.
Part 2: Technical and camera craft
You need to know your camera and it’s technical capabilities well before you embark on your first paid wedding. The technical part of the course has been written by two jobbing wedding photographers who are doing on average, 40 weddings per year. We look at the day in chronological order from the bride getting ready to the reception venue and evening event, giving you real practical advice on the technicalities of shooting a wedding.
We have included a 30 minute private chat with an IOP wedding photography expert so that you can discuss anything which you are finding challenging or hard to understand.
The course spans 25 detailed units and is full of invaluable hints and tips which will help to prepare you for a career in wedding photography.
As well as all the usual benefits of an IOP course, you will receive a Diploma in Wedding Photography certificate and one years FREE membership to the IOPWP (Institute of Photography Wedding Photographers Association). You can proudly display your membership badge on your paperwork or website for 1 year on completion of the course.
We will be adding a database of those who have completed with a short biography (if you want one) – watch this space!
