COURSE 2: FOUNDATION IN LIGHTROOM

The Foundation in Lightroom online photography course has over 50 comprehensive modules on using the powerful image processing capability of Lightroom. This is the one course you need to familiarise yourself with all the basics of Lightroom. Start creating stunning imagery straight away.
This course has been designed to get you up and running with Lightroom in just a few hours as we dive right into the essentials of the Lightroom Develop Module to show you how to take ordinary RAW files and produce extraordinary images.
We demonstrate all the other crucial features in Lightroom that will help you manage, cull, filter, and organise your work, giving you the most efficient workflow possible.
This is a beginner level course, you do not need prior Lightroom experience. You do need Lightroom version 5 or above.

IOP provides 30 image files that you can load up into Lightroom and edit along with your tutor.

The Foundation in Digital Photography is suitable for:

Beginners
Perfect for those who are completely new to photography, it starts with the complete basics and develops at an easy pace into more complex photographic concepts.

Camera
Any digital camera that allows you to control the manual settings is perfect for this course. Even the most basic compact cameras offer that functionality these days. Look at your camera manual – can you change the aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings? If so, your camera is fine for the course.

Equipment
Any PC, Mac, laptop, tablet or smartphone is suitable for viewing the course and course videos.
A reasonable broadband internet connection (2mb and above).
Adobe Lightroom CC, full version or trial

Non-essential equipment
The following items would be worth investing in, perhaps in the future and as you work through the course, developing your skills.
They are not essential for the course.

  • A DSLR camera
