From the moment I was given a vintage Kodak Colorsnap as a child, I was fascinated by the power of photography.
This passion followed me through a design degree, years of personal projects and a long teaching career until, four years ago, I set up my photography business.
The IOP Professional Diploma in Photography has been a fantastic course to help me develop as a photographer.
These days, you’ll find me behind the lens for all sorts of adventures: creative, artistic portraits, high-energy live event photoshoots, brand storytelling, candid wedding photography, documentary work, and commercial projects.
What connects everything I do is my love for storytelling and my commitment to showing people, and the things they care about, at their absolute best. My images regularly appear in publications, websites and advertising posters, and my theatre, dance and weekly boatbuilding photographs are being archived in the local museum.
For me, the real magic happens in those moments when clients see their photos for the first time and their faces just light up. Seeing people recognise themselves, their stories, and their special moments reflected back honestly: that’s what it’s all about.
