Workshop date: 8th April 2016
Genre: Street Photography
Tutor: Michael Barrow
Thanks for everyone who attended the inaugural IOP® photography workshop on the 8th April 2016.
The students achieved some fantastic results out on the streets of Manchester.
It was tough to choose a winner from a superb bunch of shots, but after much consideration, the winner is Lorraine Spittle for this excellent and well-observed shot. We love how the reflections bring the urban environment into the frame, and although a busy image, the family are so well-lit and well-framed that they remain the centre of attention. The social commentary adds a new dimension to this shot – this is a family engaging in a day out shopping, each in their own little world. Well done Lorraine, you should be proud of this photo.
