Why have we been so successful? There is no doubt that the photography training market is a crowded place. You can enrol on ‘courses’ for as little as a few pounds and some are even ‘free’. However, our students know that we provide a real course experience, with real tutors and real feedback.
As we have seen this market develop, with entrants from small companies to some of the largest names in the education business, we remain surprised at how little is offered to potential students. Sometimes these courses offer a few webinars and some templated feedback at the end which in our opinion does not make a course of learning.

Ask yourself a few questions before you enrol on any online photography course:
- Will someone take time to look at my photographs and give me real and useful feedback that is not templated?
- Are they a real company? A top tip is to phone every company you are considering and ask a few questions. If you can’t get through or the answers aren’t satisfactory, you might want to consider whether to enrol.
- How long have they been in business?
- Consider whether a big educational name means a quality course experience. It’s not necessarily the case.
