IOP Distinction student, Paulina Duczman, has long impressed us with her skill in portraiture and now this has been nationally recognised by the Guild of Photographers.
The Image of the Year competition is hotly contested by photographers all over the world, so this is a great achievement for Paulina.
If you consider that this competition attracted over 10,000 entries, and only 10 of those entries have been selected for the finals, then you can see what an impressive feat this is.
Guild Director Lesley Thirsk said “one of the Guild’s aims is to drive standards and creativity amongst photographers. Our monthly competition certainly does that, for the standard of the entries we see each month is quite staggering. To have an image recognised by the Guild in the monthly competition is difficult enough, so to have an image selected as being one of the best 10 in a category for the end of year final is quite a remarkable achievement, and shows just how talented a photographer Paulina Duczman is”.
We think this image is truly stunning and beautifully shot – she is a very talented photographer indeed.
Paulina said of her time at IOP “Once again, thank you so much for helping me at the beginning of my photography journey. If not for your courses, I probably would not be ‘here’ in a such a short period of time.”
