I am a semi-professional photographer based in South East Spain, with over 20 years of experience behind the camera. I relocated to Spain in 2022, where I continue to develop my passion for photography through both professional and personal projects.
My photographic interests encompass motorsport, portraiture, weddings and landscapes. I am mostly known for my motorsport photography, having worked internationally and gained accreditation to cover both MotoGP and WorldSBK championships.
Although much of my work involves capturing fast-moving action, I enjoy the challenge of exploring different photographic genres and techniques. I believe that photography is as much about observation, patience and understanding light as it is about mastering the technical aspects of the camera.
I spent much of my career in project management before pursuing photography more extensively, that helps bring a methodical and detail-oriented approach to my work. However, I also enjoy experimenting, challenging myself creatively and continually learning.
The IOP course really challenged my old ways of working and taught me new skills in having the patience to slow down and be a more considerate photographer including being aware of more holistic elements of creating an image and using that to support the primary subject.
